About the role
- QA Development Tester ensuring quality of game features from concept to release at Torn Banner Studios. Collaborating with developers and testing across diverse gaming environments.
Responsibilities
- Execute test cases to a level that provides respective departments with confidence that a feature or update is ready for shipping.
- Maintain a high written quality of bugs.
- Collaborate with other Testers on daily smoke tests to provide a pulse check on development health.
- Perform regression testing on fixed bugs, and exploratory testing on new changes to identify new issues and unexpected knock-ons.
- Communicate actively with developers and our Community team to reproduce issues encountered during internal and external playtests.
- Provide constructive feedback on features in development, contributing to the final design.
Requirements
- Experience as a QA Tester working on an active game project, with the ideal candidate having shipped at least 1 title.
- Strong bug writing skills and understanding of best practices.
- Understanding of core QA concepts such as the bug life cycle.
- Familiarity with Jira or other issue tracking software.
- Familiarity with Testrail or another test management tool.
- Strong ability to work as a member of a team.
- Able to quickly transition between different tasks and projects.
- Familiarity with PC and console multiplayer games.
- Eager to learn new skills.
- Previous experience with multiplayer/network testing.
- Previous experience with testing on console platforms.
- Professional experience in beta testing or patch testing with live games.
- Experience with art pipelines and with testing character art and UI/UX in games.
