Responsibilities
Support projects focused on habitat restoration, river engineering, geomorphology, and natural channel design.
Provide technical expertise within multi-disciplinary project teams, working collaboratively with other engineers, scientists, and biologists.
Plan and execute engineering designs and studies focused on fisheries and aquatic resources.
Civil design, analysis, and drafting to support development of project deliverables including calculations, reports, construction cost estimates, and engineering drawings.
Prepare technical reports/memos and present findings to clients, regulators, Indigenous groups, and stakeholders.
Contribute to proposal preparation, scope development, and budgeting.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to more junior staff.
Work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with our technical teams within our business unit.
Requirements
A degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrotechnical Engineering, or Water Resources Engineering.
Graduate degree considered an asset.
Passion for habitat restoration, geomorphology, and river engineering to support salmon restoration objectives.
Eng., EIT, or relevant professional designation in BC, or eligible for registration.
Minimum 3 years of consulting experience related to water resource engineering design and construction.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D for civil design and drawing production.
Construction management and field experience.
Effective analytical and technical writing skills with the ability to produce high quality reports and proposals.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to technical quality and excellence.
Effective and demonstrated communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
