Maintain key client relationships and support growth of the team and business through successful delivery of projects across Canada.
Provide water resources engineering/modelling support on water management studies for mining projects (exploration through closure).
Develop and run site-wide and receiver water balance models to simulate hydrological processes using industry standard software (e.g., GoldSim, HEC-HMS).
Develop and run 2D and 3D hydrodynamic models to simulate contaminant dispersion and mixing zones with industry standard software (e.g., CORMIX, Delft3D).
Perform hydrotechnical calculations to support analysis of hydraulic structures including culverts, weirs, flumes, and open-channels using industry standard software (e.g., HY-8, HEC-RAS).
Prepare technical reports/memos and present findings to clients, regulators, Indigenous groups, and stakeholders.
Support permitting and regulatory documentation/submissions.

Eng. or EIT designation, or eligible for registration with PEO
3+ years of consulting experience related to water resource engineering/modelling in the mining section
Demonstrated experience with water balance modelling (using GoldSim) and hydrodynamic modelling (using CORMIX)
Strong understanding of hydrological processes in temperate climates, hydrodynamics and mixing processes, and hydraulics.
Working knowledge of engineering hydrology, rating curve development, water quality modelling, and storm/urban drainage analysis would be an asset
Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, and other supporting tools would be an asset
