About the role
- Program Specialist mentoring B’not Sherut in educational initiatives and community integration. Supporting their personal and professional growth during a year of volunteer service in Toronto.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized mentorship to B’not Sherut
- Guide and support B’not Sherut in implementing educational initiatives
- Participate in regular team meetings to address mentoring challenges
- Plan and coordinate the B’not Sherut interview and selection process
- Manage all program logistics including transport and wellness
- Support B’not Sherut’s independent living arrangements and day-to-day wellness
- Prepare and present periodic progress reports to the Donor
Requirements
- Post-secondary education preferred (Education, Psychology, Social Work, Jewish Studies, or related field)
- Experience in working with Israeli Teens in experiential education context
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Hebrew required
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional overnight programs
- Advanced computer proficiency
- Deep knowledge of Israeli society and familiarity with the Toronto Jewish community
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle are an asset
