Research Coordinator supporting CIHR-funded Human Development and Child and Youth Health projects at the University of Alberta. Coordinating participants, data, ethics, timelines, and dissemination.
Responsibilities
Coordinate day-to-day research project activities, timelines, milestones, and deliverables with the Principal Investigator and research team
Conduct and support qualitative and quantitative research activities according to approved study protocols and project objectives
Coordinate participant recruitment, scheduling, data collection, and follow-up processes
Maintain project documentation, study records, and research files for continuity and compliance
Support communication and collaboration with research sites, community partners, and external stakeholders across Canada
Assist with data analysis, knowledge syntheses, and interpretation of research findings
Prepare summaries, tables, figures, and supporting documentation for reporting and dissemination
Monitor project progress and identify operational or scheduling issues for follow-up with the Principal Investigator
Support ethics administration, knowledge translation, research dissemination, and grant-related documentation
Primarily support a CIHR-funded Human Development and Child and Youth Health research project
Requirements
Minimum Master’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Sciences, Epidemiology, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related health research field
PhD preferred
Equivalent combinations of education and directly related research experience may be considered
Minimum 3–5 years of progressively responsible experience supporting or coordinating health research projects
Experience in academic, healthcare, or community-based research environments
Experience supporting qualitative and quantitative research, participant coordination, data collection, data management, and research reporting
Experience coordinating research ethics submissions, amendments, and renewals
Experience supporting knowledge translation and dissemination, including reports, presentations, manuscripts, and grant-related documentation
Experience coordinating multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced research environment
Experience using NVivo, SPSS, REDCap, EndNote, or similar research and data management software
