Responsibilities
Review and sign-off on technical reports
Direct the site activities of field staff
Liaise directly with clients on a file-by-file basis
Complete hydrogeological and environmental site investigations
Oversee remediation activities, primarily on environmental spills and contaminated sites
Work in cooperation with project managers across the country
Assist field staff to problem solve and maintain the highest level of professional standards
Accept responsibility for the overall quality of remedial work completed by field staff
Provide mentorship for junior staff
Requirements
Environmental Science, Geology, Geological Engineering or Environmental Engineering Degree from a recognized university, or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of related operational experience preferred
3+ years insurance industry experience an asset
Valid driver’s license
Excellent report writing abilities
Proficiencies with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Provides accurate information and creative solutions for customers while taking ownership of decisions
