About the role

  • Coordinator for publicity and promotions supporting theatrical marketing at Warner Bros. Discovery. Collaborating with VP for media and promotional campaigns in the Canadian market.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the VP, Theatrical Marketing with coordinating and executing various elements of the general publicity and promotional campaigns for all theatrical releases
  • Provides administrative assistance in the execution of all publicity and promotions programs/events for Canadian campaigns
  • Attends weekly calls with the home office publicity, legal, and promotions teams and provides updates and detailed notes for senior management
  • Acts as the day-to-day liaison between WB Canada and the Canadian Publicity and media monitoring agencies
  • Processes and tracks invoices for all publicity and promotions programs for Canadian campaigns ensuring budgets are updated in real time

Requirements

  • Undergraduate university degree or diploma in the arts, public relations, digital marketing, social media marketing, communications
  • Three years of related work experience in entertainment marketing, or public relations / communications fields
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Understanding of key social media platforms (Meta, X, Tik Tok, Pinterest and Snap)
  • Understanding of the current Canadian entertainment media landscape (outlets and critics)
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, strong organizational skills, and detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task, highly organized with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Google doc, PowerPoint, Photoshop
