Responsibilities
Lead the team of sales and account management representatives
Maintain and generate profitable revenue
Assist in developing and executing the Area's Sales and Marketing Plan
Execute strategies to grow market share, acquire new business, and expand WM's presence within assigned territories
Direct and support new business development efforts, prospecting, competitive takeaways, and market share growth
Assign new business targets and ensure consistent field execution
Reinforce prospecting, cross-selling, and pipeline development practices
Partner with Sales and Retention teams to align acquisition and retention priorities
Motivate team members and build customer loyalty
Maintain customer satisfaction and resolve unique customer issues with the Area Management Team
Supervise Sales Department activities and ensure performance against activity, retention, pricing, service, acquisition, prospecting, and cross-selling goals
Train, coach, and mentor retention personnel and provide field-based coaching to SAEs
Manage price increase strategies and goals with the Area Sales Manager
Manage and ensure use of WM sales tools, including Proposal Program, Customer Database, and Pricing Tools
Analyze lost business trends and competitive activity and recommend corrective actions and market share opportunities
Provide industry knowledge and regulatory interpretation to the retention team and customers
Meet with customer executives and participate in field rides and prospect meetings
Interview and recruit qualified candidates for open SAE positions
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (accredited), or High School Diploma or GED (accredited) in lieu of degree and five (5) years of business-to-business sales
5 years relevant work experience (in addition to the education requirement)
Must have, or be willing to obtain, a REAL ID or TSA-approved alternative if required for air travel or federal property access
Ability to meet sales, prospecting, retention, pricing improvement, service upgrade, service agreement conversion, new business acquisition, and cross-selling goals
