About the role
- Senior Business Systems Analyst supporting complex digital solutions as liaison for business stakeholders and technical teams in an IT solutions company.
Responsibilities
- Act as the lead liaison between business stakeholders and development teams to ensure business needs are accurately translated into technical solutions
- Elicit, analyze, validate, and document functional and non-functional business requirements using multiple elicitation techniques (e.g., workshops, interviews, document analysis)
- Review and update existing business requirements to ensure continued alignment with business objectives
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate workshops and working sessions with subject matter experts and stakeholders
- Produce high-quality documentation including: Business requirements documents, Functional specifications, Process flows and workflow diagrams, Screen mock-ups, prototypes, and design artifacts
- Translate business requirements into Epics, Features, and User Stories using tools such as Azure DevOps (or equivalent)
- Support UX design for responsive web applications across desktop and mobile devices
- Collaborate closely with senior technical analysts and developers to review designs, address feedback, and ensure adherence to standards and best practices
- Quickly adapt to existing technical and business environments when joining ongoing projects
- Demonstrate strong leadership by taking initiative, managing multiple priorities, and supporting project delivery timelines
- Present solution understanding, workflows, and system functionality to project teams and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent related experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Senior Business Systems Analyst
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Lead BSA on complex, public-facing, custom software development projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience authoring specifications, user stories, and GUI standards while acting as a liaison between business and technical teams
- Demonstrated experience working with integrated systems of medium to large complexity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
