Pension Outsourcing Intern supporting defined benefit plan administration at WTW, a people, risk and capital advisory firm. Performing calculations, data updates, benefit statements, and client support.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and recurring plan administration tasks for clients’ defined benefit plans, including benefit calculations and annual data updates
Assist with preparation of benefit statements
Work cooperatively with team members to complete tasks and ensure unified service delivery
Develop a thorough understanding of pension plan administration
Follow and update documentation to maintain complete, accurate work papers and audit trails
Learn and use Excellence tools and concepts for efficient, quality output and service delivery
Adhere to plan documents and government regulations when administering plans
Participate in team meetings and training activities
Assist with project work and ad hoc client support services under senior analyst supervision
Be accountable to team members
Requirements
Current university student enrolled in a program with heavy emphasis on mathematics, such as actuarial mathematics, mathematics, statistics, economics or finance, or another major with significant quantitative coursework
Preference for 3rd or 4th year students
Work experience demonstrating strong technical and/or client service skills is a plus
Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed client standards
Ability to be a self-starter and work independently and cooperatively in a close team environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
