Responsibilities
Development and implementation of algorithms and analytics for operational optimization of water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment systems
Utilize real-time data, hydraulic modelling, machine learning, and advanced control systems
Act as subject matter expert to configure, calibrate and deploy digital twin simulation services
Solve open-ended water resources problems using optimization techniques and innovative data analytics
Communicate and collaborate with teams of engineers and decision makers
Develop and manage large datasets
Translate data analytics into understandable language for engineers and data analysts
Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of experience in water, sewer or stormwater modelling
Hydraulic modeling software for drinking water networks (EPANET or similar) and (or) stormwater networks (SWMM or similar)
Previous experience programming in software languages such as Python, R, C, MATLAB, etc.
Experience with modern data science workflows for data access and filtering, geospatial analysis, and model parameter estimation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to develop new skills
A creative mind and hands-on problem-solving abilities
