- Development and implementation of algorithms and analytics for operational optimization of water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment systems
- Utilize real-time data, hydraulic modelling, machine learning, and advanced control systems
- Act as subject matter expert to configure, calibrate and deploy digital twin simulation services
- Solve open-ended water resources problems using optimization techniques and innovative data analytics
- Communicate and collaborate with teams of engineers and decision makers
- Develop and manage large datasets
- Translate data analytics into understandable language for engineers and data analysts
- Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Environmental/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in water, sewer or stormwater modelling
- Hydraulic modeling software for drinking water networks (EPANET or similar) and (or) stormwater networks (SWMM or similar)
- Previous experience programming in software languages such as Python, R, C, MATLAB, etc.
- Experience with modern data science workflows for data access and filtering, geospatial analysis, and model parameter estimation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and eager to develop new skills
- A creative mind and hands-on problem-solving abilities
- Fluent in English
