About the role

  • Systems Analyst I maintaining operational excellence of Seaspan’s live business systems. Supporting end users, analyzing information, and contributing to system functionality design.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains operational excellence of Seaspan’s live business systems.
  • Provides end-user support and identifies trends for recurring application issues.
  • Analyzes information and utilizes documentation to find solutions.
  • Produces incident reports and troubleshooting knowledge articles.
  • Provides emergency production support and liaises with end users and IT teams.
  • Assists peers with planning and supporting larger projects.
  • Executes test scripts for UAT and supports testers/end users.
  • Participates in business user workshops and supports change management activities.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or a Post-secondary Diploma in Computer Science.
  • 2 - 3 years of related work experience (systems analysis, application development, support, operations support, service desk).
  • 1 - 2 years of technical experience with programming languages, database, and server administration.
  • Experience in supporting at least one core operations process (order to invoice, procure to pay, etc.).
  • Experience in developing and maintaining interfaces for on-premise and SaaS applications preferred.
  • Passion for service excellence and business enablement.
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable business benefit.
  • Ability to collaborate well with peers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
  • Subject matter expert for assigned applications.
  • Understanding of troubleshooting principles and methodologies.
