About the role
- Hiring a Data Solution Architect for a 6-month contract to lead enterprise data architecture and legacy modernization with Oracle and Azure.
Responsibilities
- You will support a large data transformation initiative involving Oracle legacy systems, Azure data architecture, system integration, data synchronization, bulk data loads, and legacy system decommissioning. Responsibilities include designing end-to-end data architecture, leading migration strategies, providing architectural oversight across ADF pipelines, Data Lake, Azure SQL, and Service Bus, designing integration patterns, defining data quality and governance frameworks, and supporting Agile delivery teams.
Requirements
- Must-have: strong background in data architecture and data modelling, deep Oracle legacy systems experience, hands-on Azure Data Stack experience (ADF, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus), strong ETL/ELT design and implementation, experience with data synchronization, bulk data processing, and event-driven pipelines, proven experience in large-scale data transformation and multi-system integration, strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills. Nice to have: public sector or government project experience, legacy system decommissioning experience, high-volume transactional data environment experience.
