About the role
- We are hiring an Engineering Technologist (Electrical Distribution) to design and manage overhead and underground distribution systems, capital projects, and streetlight renewals.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and planning of residential, commercial, and industrial distribution projects. Perform voltage drop calculations, fault current analysis, and pole loading studies. Collaborate with stakeholders, municipal bodies, and developers. Oversee construction contracts and provide input on capital budget proposals.
Requirements
- 3-year Electrical Engineering Technology degree/diploma. O.A.C.E.T.T. registration (C.E.T. or eligible). 3+ years in overhead/underground distribution design and construction. Strong electrical theory knowledge, project management skills, and a safety-first mindset. Valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s License.
