About the role
- Head of IT Operations leading infrastructure, production ops, and reliability engineering. Hands-on leadership role in HVAC/industrial tech with hybrid work in North York.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small team of infrastructure & SRE engineers. Own datacenter operations, virtualization, storage, networking & monitoring. Act as primary escalation point for complex production issues. Drive uptime, SLA performance & operational excellence. Improve automation, processes & governance (ITIL, change control). Collaborate with architects, developers, security & business teams. Participate in on-call & incident response rotation.
Requirements
- 7+ years in infrastructure operations / systems engineering. 2+ years in technical or team leadership. Strong troubleshooting across networking, virtualization & Linux. Experience in SRE / production operations environments. Confident communicator who can align technical decisions with business goals. Comfortable working in fast-paced, project-heavy environments. Must be able to travel within Canada & the U.S. and hold a valid passport.
