About the role
- Senior Infrastructure Automation Specialist role designing automation for infrastructure operations and orchestrating failover scenarios in on-premises Windows/Linux environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and build automation for infrastructure operations, including orchestrating failover scenarios (bringing servers down/up). Hands-on role focused on on-premises environments across Windows and Linux.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on automation experience in on-premises environments. Advanced scripting expertise with Python (mandatory). Additional scripting with Bash and/or PowerShell. Experience automating infrastructure operations: server start/stop, service restarts, IIS websites and application pool management, SQL queries and database automation, HTTP/REST automation for systems like F5 or NetScaler, OS-level configuration (Linux kernel parameters, Windows registry). Experience with at least one enterprise automation/orchestration platform (e.g., Ansible, Operations Orchestration, Server Automation, Rundeck, MECM). Strong systems and integration knowledge, able to build end-to-end automated solutions.
