- SAP QA Lead role driving quality assurance across multiple SAP modules, overseeing onshore/offshore teams and advancing test automation strategies in a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- This role serves as the SAP QA Lead, responsible for driving quality assurance across FS-CD, FS-RI, SAP Business Partner (BP), Workflow, and FI-GL modules. The position oversees a blended onshore/offshore team and advances test automation strategies to improve speed, coverage, and reliability. Ideal candidates bring deep SAP module expertise and Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain knowledge, translating business requirements into risk-based QA approaches. Key priorities include expanding automation frameworks, establishing measurable QA standards, and collaborating with stakeholders to align testing with end-to-end processes and integrations (including Guidewire and other upstream systems). Although this is a lead role, hands-on involvement is expected to meet delivery commitments within a small-team environment.
Requirements
- – 5+ years of SAP QA Manager or Lead experience in FSCD, FS-RI, SAP BP, Workflow, and FiGL modules – Proficiency with SAP TOSCA Automation Tool and SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) – Ability to create new test cases, analyze failures, and independently maintain/fix test scripts – Strong collaboration skills to work across various SAP teams and comprehend automation requirements – Minimum 2+ years of Business Analysis (BA) or functional consultant in SAP FI\CO or SAP for Insurance (FSCD\FSRI) and/or Quality Analyst (QA) experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance sector – Experience in BA and/or QA application maintenance, enhancement, and Production Support in IT systems – Knowledge of SAP BAPI/RFC and integration experience with upstream applications, particularly Guidewire or similar Policy/Claim Administration Systems – Proficient in developing and reviewing test plans, scenarios, cases, scripts, and in bug/defect analysis – Experience with SAP ChaRM – Experience with SAP modules: candidates must have hands-on experience with at least one of the following: FS-CD, FS-RI (rare, niche), FI-GL – Strong knowledge of SAP transport and change management tools, such as SAP Solution Manager / ChaRM or equivalent tools handling code checkout, transports, and lifecycle through QA to production – Tosca is a key requirement and preferred tool – Candidates without Tosca may be considered only if they have strong experience with another automation framework and can clearly explain how it compares to Tosca – Property & Casualty insurance experience is preferred but not mandatory – Strong QA, SAP, automation, and leadership skills can compensate for lack of insurance domain experience
