About the role
- Senior Cloud Application Specialist / DevOps Engineer needed for a 22-month contract in Toronto. Architect cloud-native solutions and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement end-to-end cloud-native solutions and secure CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps). Automate infrastructure provisioning, network processes (IP/DNS assignments via RESTful APIs), and repeatable tasks using Python, Ansible, and Jenkins. Maintain observability, monitoring, and alerting configurations across enterprise environments. Collaborate on cross-functional teams to integrate Open Source Software (OSS) and modernize legacy/mainframe infrastructure.
Requirements
- 8–10+ years of hands-on cloud application development and engineering. Mastery of Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, AKS), Docker, and Kubernetes or OpenShift. Strong background in Azure DevOps, Ansible, Jenkins, Git-based SCM, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Proficient in Python and interacting with RESTful APIs for network automation. Bonus: Public sector experience and working familiarity with legacy/mainframe integrations or VMware.
