Responsibilities
- We are hiring an SRE Engineer for a full-time or contract role in Canada. The role requires 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering, with strong expertise in AWS services, microservices architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and automation using Python and Bash. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting highly available, scalable, and reliable production environments.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering. Strong experience designing, developing, and supporting microservices-based architectures. Proven experience supporting highly available, scalable, and reliable production environments. Strong hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS, Aurora PostgreSQL, MSK, S3, SQS, and SNS. Strong understanding of cloud architecture, scalability, reliability, and production support. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and DevOps best practices. Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation and operational tasks. Experience implementing infrastructure automation and deployment pipelines. Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures. Experience troubleshooting and optimizing distributed systems for performance and reliability. Experience with application profiling, observability, monitoring, logging, and telemetry tools. Strong experience diagnosing production issues and improving system performance.
