About the role

  • Lead Technician coordinating offshore service operations for turbine maintenance and ensuring execution readiness. Working with cross-functional teams, managing operational plans, and overseeing task execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own offshore operational planning across daily, 3‑day, 1‑week, 2‑week, and 6‑month horizons.
  • Act as the execution‑readiness owner by validating that all planned work has the required materials.
  • Lead the daily planning meeting and clearly communicate the approved plan.
  • Evaluate task scope, sequencing, duration, and risk to determine resource needs.
  • Identify required parts, tools, and consumables, ensuring correct reservations in SAP.
  • Work closely with the Stockkeeper to forecast material needs.
  • Add and maintain accurate parts, tooling, and task details in Service Orders.
  • Perform first‑level administrative review of Approved Written Procedures (AWPs).
  • Review personnel availability and planned absences.
  • Ensure all approved tasks are correctly loaded and maintained in STORM.
  • Secure and track required work releases from Equinor.
  • Monitor and document deviations from the approved plan.
  • Support development, prioritization, and planning of continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as acting Offshore Shift Supervisor during designated late‑shift coverage.
  • Provide Supervisor relief during the day to enable audits and technician engagement.
  • Oversee end‑of‑day operational close‑out and confirm all teams have safely demobilized.
  • Make real‑time operational decisions within delegated authority.
  • Participate in cross‑functional coordination with vessel crew and support functions.
  • Review completed Service Orders for accuracy and documentation quality.
  • Set clear expectations for post‑job documentation standards.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of SAP or ability to rapidly become proficient.
  • Ability to create detailed, realistic operational plans.
  • Strong focus on HSE, service quality, and operational delivery.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable interacting with customer representatives.
  • Completion of TBC 200 tasks on any platform.
  • Knowledge of VOB SCADA, Toolkit, and turbine performance tools.
  • Understanding of V236 platform.
  • Ability to lead diverse technician teams and maintain trust.
  • Strong computer literacy (SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, Smartsheet, Primavera, etc.).
  • Prior planning or coordination experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Proficiency with IT tools (smartphones, computers, etc.).
  • Able to safely work in adverse climates and environments.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a passport, and willingness to travel.
