About the role

  • Control Systems Engineer collaborating on nuclear industry projects to deliver technical documentation and systems. Working with a technical team to handle engineering tasks and client needs.

Responsibilities

  • As a control systems engineer, you’ll work as part of a technical project team on technically challenging and interesting projects, mostly within the nuclear industry, to deliver technical documentation, hardware, and software to clients.
  • Produce requirements and design documents related to the project scope;
  • Create testing documents as needed;
  • Write code for PLCs, HMIs, and SCADAs (e.g., Schneider-Electric, Siemens);
  • Run rounds of testing as required pertaining to the project scope.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or similar post-secondary education) in computer science or engineering, with demonstrated academic excellence;
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience developing and testing control systems;
  • Experience creating engineering documentation;
  • In-depth knowledge of PLCs and SCADA programming and configuration, including familiarity with several IEC61131 languages;
  • Confidence in client-facing situations;
  • Results-driven and flexible, with a strong sense of ownership of tasks.
  • Extra edge: Professional Engineer licence in Ontario (or pursuing); Experience in the nuclear industry; Commissioning and installation experience; Ability to design instrumentation and control systems, and familiarity using electrical drafting tools.
  • Language skills: English: Proficient
