About the role

  • Junior Account Executive selling BluSynq’s AI-powered front-desk agent to new industries. Owning discovery, demos, proposals and closes while testing market verticals.

Responsibilities

  • Take BluSynq into new markets outside DockMaster’s existing marina customer base
  • Partner daily with an SDR to define target criteria, review ZoomInfo and LinkedIn lists, listen to calls and improve outreach
  • Accept, qualify or reject booked meetings and provide same-day feedback
  • Self-source pipeline through phone, email, LinkedIn and occasional trade shows
  • Research accounts before calls and learn new industry terminology
  • Log every customer touch in HubSpot with vertical and lead-source tags
  • Own deals from first meeting through signature, including forecasting, follow-up and outcome
  • Run discovery calls using the qualification framework
  • Deliver BluSynq demos focused on time savings and revenue capture
  • Build and send proposals, handle standard objections and close deals
  • Hand new customers to Onboarding and Customer Success
  • Report on vertical tests, objections, competitive mentions and pricing feedback
  • Participate in weekly 1:1s with performance numbers and recorded calls
  • Meet ramp milestones, activity targets, pipeline coverage and quota expectations
  • Conduct 8–10 discovery calls per week at full ramp and approximately 25 quality outbound touches per day

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in a sales, customer-facing or target-driven role
  • Genuinely comfortable making a cold call
  • Resilient about rejection
  • Clear, confident communicator on the phone, video and in writing
  • Coachable and able to apply feedback
  • Willing to partner with an SDR by providing direction and feedback
  • Organised and self-directed enough to run your own day in a remote role
  • Curious about how different businesses operate and interested in software sales
  • Legally able to work in Canada
  • Available to work North American business hours
  • Preferred: exposure to cold outbound, including SDR/BDR, retail, hospitality, call centre, recruiting or fundraising
  • Preferred: experience selling into more than one industry or to small owner-operated businesses
  • Preferred: experience with HubSpot, Salesforce or similar CRM and prospecting tools such as ZoomInfo
  • Preferred: familiarity with marinas, boating, RV parks, campgrounds, storage, dealerships or another owner-operator business
  • Preferred: interest in AI and automation and ability to explain it to non-technical customers
  • SaaS experience is not required
  • A university degree is not required
  • An existing book of business or industry contacts is not required
