About the role

  • Managing Director owning strategy, P&L, and operational excellence for TAG Software Group’s mission-critical software businesses. Leading growth, customer success, financial performance, and high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own the P&L and set the strategic direction for a software business or portfolio.
  • Lead strategy and execution across sales, marketing, R&D, customer service, professional services, and HR.
  • Set growth objectives and drive operational excellence.
  • Position the company strategically within its markets and align operations with long-term objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth through market expansion, cross-selling, and customer-focused strategies.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, loyalty, retention, and advocacy.
  • Maintain market-aligned product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Foster innovation and technology adoption, including AI, to improve products, services, and operations.
  • Make financial and operational decisions to maximize value creation.
  • Meet or exceed revenue, EBITDA, ROI, and customer-retention metrics.
  • Optimize capital allocation and ensure predictable financial performance.
  • Build and develop high-performing teams across all functions.
  • Create a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead through change, simplify complexity, remove roadblocks, and execute long-term strategies.
  • Represent Tag Software Group leadership values through humility, empathy, strategic judgment, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to own a P&L and deliver sustained growth, profitability, and scalability.
  • Track record of driving market expansion, launching new products, or transforming businesses.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to make value-creating decisions.
  • Experience building and leading executive-level teams.
  • Comfort with emerging technologies (including AI).
  • Exceptional communication and influence skills.
  • Ability to simplify complexity, work through ambiguity, and make bold decisions.
  • Resilience and adaptability under pressure.
  • Prior experience managing a B2B software company.
  • Proven entrepreneurial mindset and pace-setter traits.
  • Broad financial understanding (P&L, BI tools, FP&A, financial documents).
  • Experience developing strategies for customer acquisition and market penetration.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex business problems.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
