About the role
- Senior software developer building AI-agent systems for ServiceCentral’s repair and reverse-logistics SaaS. Designing MCP integrations, knowledge pipelines, and scalable backend architecture.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade SaaS applications using AI agents and tooling as first-class parts of the workflow
- Use agentic systems to automate scaffolding, refactoring, test generation, code review, and documentation
- Build and maintain MCP servers connecting AI systems to codebases, APIs, databases, and internal tools
- Design and maintain knowledge repositories, vector databases, retrieval pipelines, and embeddings for reliable domain-specific AI grounding
- Apply AI tools across the full software development lifecycle, from architecture drafting and requirements analysis through implementation, testing, and deployment
- Own architecture decisions end-to-end, including service boundaries, API contracts, data models, and integration patterns
- Document architectural tradeoffs and design for observability, reliability, and failure
- Identify and address structural technical debt
- Build backend services, APIs, and data models for scalable line-of-business SaaS applications
- Ensure system performance, reliability, and security
- Translate operational business needs into well-architected software solutions
Requirements
- Senior-level software development experience, including owning architecture decisions and designing systems from scratch
- Proven, hands-on experience building with AI agents in production, using LLMs to plan, use tools, and execute multi-step tasks reliably
- Practical experience building or consuming MCPs (Model Context Protocol) to connect AI models to tools, APIs, codebases, or data sources
- Experience designing and maintaining knowledge repositories, including RAG pipelines, vector databases, and embedding strategies
- Experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot as a structured part of the development workflow
- Strong backend development skills and experience shipping production SaaS applications
- Experience designing APIs, data models, and service integrations used by other developers
