About the role

  • Electrical Engineering Assistant designing electrical systems for nuclear plants in Ontario. Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and documentation of nuclear power plant and other industrial site electrical systems
  • Perform basic electrical calculations under supervision
  • Apply Electrical Safety Codes, Building Codes, and standards
  • Assist with preparation of technical specifications and schedules
  • Support direction of Designers and coordinate with engineering disciplines
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation
  • Support all activities for the Design Integration team
  • Work under the guidance of licensed engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • Eligibility for eventual licensing with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
  • 2–4 years of relevant junior level mentored engineering experience in electrical engineering design
  • Skills in complementary areas of nuclear new build projects preferred
  • Proficiency or working knowledge of codes, standards, and industry best practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Good organizational and time‑management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
