Responsibilities
- Lead role for electrical engineering commitments in accordance with scope, schedule, budget, and procedures
- Provide electrical systems design technical leadership and project management
- Manage electrical staff resources assigned to projects and mentor their continuous development
- Lead and document meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants
- Review tender submissions and quotations from contractors
- Prepare design briefs, schematics, project documents, and perform required engineering calculations
- Provide technical guidance and quality assurance to electrical staff
Requirements
- Must hold a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada / Quebec
- Relevant experience in mining and mineral processing facilities
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in power system design
- Proficiency in engineering tools such as ETAP, SKM, and AutoCAD Electrical
- Knowledge of medium voltage electrical systems, substation equipment, standards, and codes
- Experience leading multidisciplinary coordination efforts
