About the role

  • Lead Electrical Engineer leading electrical commitments and project management in the mining sector. Supporting design and execution of electrical systems in mineral processing facilities across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Lead role for electrical engineering commitments in accordance with scope, schedule, budget, and procedures
  • Provide electrical systems design technical leadership and project management
  • Manage electrical staff resources assigned to projects and mentor their continuous development
  • Lead and document meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants
  • Review tender submissions and quotations from contractors
  • Prepare design briefs, schematics, project documents, and perform required engineering calculations
  • Provide technical guidance and quality assurance to electrical staff

Requirements

  • Must hold a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada / Quebec
  • Relevant experience in mining and mineral processing facilities
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in power system design
  • Proficiency in engineering tools such as ETAP, SKM, and AutoCAD Electrical
  • Knowledge of medium voltage electrical systems, substation equipment, standards, and codes
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary coordination efforts
