About the role

Responsibilities
- Prepare electrical plans and detailed single-line diagrams
- Perform short-circuit, coordination, protection and arc-flash studies using EasyPower, ETAP or other software
- Calculate and prepare protection relay settings
- Prepare specifications for the procurement of low- and medium-voltage equipment
- Review and analyze bids related to electrical equipment
- Coordinate projects in direct contact with the client
- Oversee and participate in electrical design
- Supervise a team of engineers and technicians
- Design low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution, wiring, cable trays, motor connections and grounding systems
- Participate in projects from design through commissioning, continuous improvement of facilities and modernization of industrial infrastructure
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant electrical experience, including in the mining & metals, petrochemical and aluminum industries
- Licensed member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Strong knowledge of industrial environments
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Proficiency with ETAP, EasyPower or other electrical study software
- Knowledge of arc-flash standards
- Ability to lead electrical projects
- Completion of the “General Health and Safety on Construction Sites” course
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project and Outlook
- Fluent in spoken and written French
- Knowledge of English required to interact with primarily English-speaking clients and suppliers located outside Quebec
