About the role
- Senior Engineering Manager overseeing engineering services in equipment integration for the Defence sector. Collaborating with military clients to ensure operational readiness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering assessments, design reviews and performance evaluations of military equipment.
- Oversee procurement, integration, maintenance and decommissioning of defence equipment.
- Provide expertise on equipment specifications, test protocols and failure analysis.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams on modernization and sustainment projects for equipment.
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with Canadian defence regulations.
- Work closely with the Department of National Defence (DND), the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), OEMs and allied defence organizations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace or systems engineering.
- More than 10 years of experience in equipment engineering, including at least 5 years in a military or defence environment.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada.
- Experience in defence procurement, equipment testing and technical risk assessments.
- Eligibility for Secret (Level II) or Top Secret (Level III) security clearance.
- Knowledge of Canadian Forces Technical Orders (CFTO), NATO STANAGs and DND engineering frameworks.
- Experience with digital engineering tools (e.g., CAD, PLM, FEA).
