About the role
- Database Architect serving as subject matter expert for ACS databases, assessing database needs and improving overall readiness. Collaborating with engineering teams to automate and deploy database standards.
Responsibilities
- Continuously assess our broad database readiness/needs
- Identify significant risks/gaps
- Charter tactical and strategic solutions for our DB platform team to execute
- Introduce improvements in key areas including capacity management, monitoring, alerting, tuning, pruning, sharding, migrations, schema and query optimization, deadlock resolution, load optimization, and DB performance
- Create best practices and health models
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years experience in database architecture and dataplane for enterprise SaaS platform at scale
- Minimum of 8 years of Postgres experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience with cloud data technologies
- Minimum of 5 years experience with NoSQL cloud based architectures
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
