About the role
- AWS Solutions Architect leading design and management of AWS solutions at Avahi. Engaging in customer consultations and driving successful migration and modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical leader in customer calls, leading technical discussions and presenting solutions.
- Support DevOps, migration, and modernization projects by delivering high-quality technical strategies.
- Conduct Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) assessments and lead workshops to evaluate cloud migration readiness.
- Create detailed level-of-effort estimates and scope-of-work documents to support project planning and proposals.
- Serve as a hands-on escalation point for complex technical issues during project execution.
- Guide team members on AWS solutions, migration strategies, and best practices, fostering skill development.
- Leverage deep cloud migration experience to ensure seamless transitions to AWS from on-premises environments.
- Design and implement innovative solutions, remaining hands-on throughout project lifecycles.
- Stay updated on AWS offerings, DevOps tools, and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
Requirements
- AWS Professional and specialty certifications are highly desirable.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, EKS, and ECS.
- Track record of leading successful AWS migration and modernization projects.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS CodeSuite, CircleCI).
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and its best practices.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience with Data, Machine Learning, or AI technologies is a bonus.
- Passion for contributing to open-source tools and communities is a bonus.
- Knowledge of advanced AWS services or emerging technologies is a bonus.
