About the role
- Banking conversion programmer at a banking technology consultancy, migrating financial-institution data to Fiserv DNA. Developing Oracle SQL/PLSQL conversion logic and validating core banking data.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data conversion programs using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
- Convert and validate banking data, including CIF, deposit accounts, loan accounts, person and organization records, ownership relationships, cards, electronic agreements, and other core banking data
- Analyze donor system data and develop SQL-based transformation and conversion logic for migration to the Fiserv DNA platform
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance testing throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Troubleshoot conversion issues and develop technical solutions
- Produce conversion reports and assist with data cleanup activities
- Collaborate with consultants, data analysts, project managers, and client teams
- Participate in implementation milestones, including occasional evening or weekend conversion activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of conversion tools, processes, and documentation
Requirements
- Experience developing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions
- Strong experience working with Oracle databases and relational database concepts
- Experience with Fiserv DNA implementations and thorough knowledge of back-end data tables
- Experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, packages, and performance tuning
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment
- Experience working independently in a fully remote environment
- Understanding of banking operations in either the United States or Canada
- Experience with ETL processes and large-scale data migrations
- Knowledge of banking regulations, data privacy requirements, and data governance
