Responsibilities

  • support the electrical group, working as part of multidisciplinary project teams
  • integrating process, mechanical, and control requirements into comprehensive electrical systems
  • managing projects, coaching and mentoring less-experienced staff
  • providing technical leadership
  • managing teams to meet clients' needs
  • conducting business development activities
  • preparing plans and specifications, writing reports, and developing cost estimations
  • assisting with project planning, coordinating, and executing

Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • at least 5 years of related experience in a design capacity
  • experience in industrial production environment such as mining, power plants, petroleum refining, or chemical production facilities
  • working knowledge of codes, standards, laws, and regulations
  • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng.) license in at least one U.S. or Canadian jurisdiction
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • possession of a current, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • legally authorized to work in Canada without the need for sponsorship
