About the role
- Corporate Travel Consultant managing travel logistics for nurses and paramedics across Canada. Responsible for booking and resolving travel issues for healthcare staff on assignments.
Responsibilities
- Managing all aspects of travel logistics for nurses, paramedics, and social workers departing and/or returning from travel assignments across Canada.
- Booking flights, accommodations, and ground transportation with efficiency and attention to detail.
- Serving as a point of contact for resolving travel-related challenges and staffing concerns, ensuring smooth deployment and continuity of care.
- Coordinating & booking travel for nurses, paramedics and social workers scheduled for assignment or returning home from an assignment.
- Participating in a rotation of on call weekdays/ weekends for travel issues.
- Overseeing staffing service coordination in consultation with the MCPs, Client Service Coordinators facilitating a response to all inquiries from Northern Staffing field staff pre assignment, while on assignment and post assignment.
- Problem-solving issues/questions related to travel and accommodations from Field Staff.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years corporate travel agency experience is required.
- Experience with Northern travel assignments strongly preferred.
- Travel agent certification strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Semi-Automated Business Research Environment – Global Distribution System (SABRE GDs) to manage bookings and reservations, including all types of pricing, air, car & hotel reservations is required.
- Experience in Corporate travel solutions completing large volumes of travel on a daily basis, including ticketing, exchanges and refunds experience.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills, including strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
