About the role
- Data & Analytics Engineer Co-op/Internship with BCI supporting implementation of Data & Analytics projects. Creating reports and driving data literacy while working with a dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the implementation of Data & Analytics projects and initiatives
- Creating reports and dashboards using Power BI and SQL
- Creating re-usable curated datasets using SQL or Python
- Work with Data & Analytics team to drive data literacy across BCI
- Support the building and adoption of AI driven solutions
Requirements
- Keen interest in data & technology and is a self-starter
- Working knowledge of major AI tools like Perplexity, Claude or Copilot
- Ability to demonstrate being a team player, but can also work independently
- Strong work ethic and displayed initiative to strive to deliver value above and beyond the job description
- Creative ideas to improve the business reporting process
- Exhibit a high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy, excellent product quality, and attention to detail
- Dedication to hard work, commitment to the highest ethical standards, and an eagerness to learn
- Ability to use Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools such as One Drive, SharePoint Online, and MS Teams
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or Copilot
- Ability to read and write basic code scripts in SQL
- Ability to implement and debug basic Python scripts
