About the role

  • Data & Analytics Engineer Co-op/Internship with BCI supporting implementation of Data & Analytics projects. Creating reports and driving data literacy while working with a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the implementation of Data & Analytics projects and initiatives
  • Creating reports and dashboards using Power BI and SQL
  • Creating re-usable curated datasets using SQL or Python
  • Work with Data & Analytics team to drive data literacy across BCI
  • Support the building and adoption of AI driven solutions

Requirements

  • Keen interest in data & technology and is a self-starter
  • Working knowledge of major AI tools like Perplexity, Claude or Copilot
  • Ability to demonstrate being a team player, but can also work independently
  • Strong work ethic and displayed initiative to strive to deliver value above and beyond the job description
  • Creative ideas to improve the business reporting process
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy, excellent product quality, and attention to detail
  • Dedication to hard work, commitment to the highest ethical standards, and an eagerness to learn
  • Ability to use Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools such as One Drive, SharePoint Online, and MS Teams
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or Copilot
  • Ability to read and write basic code scripts in SQL
  • Ability to implement and debug basic Python scripts
