About the role

  • Lead Technical Specialist developing energy conservation solutions for industrial and commercial sectors with expertise in HVAC systems. Collaborating with teams to deliver decarbonization projects.

Responsibilities

  • Use experience to develop custom energy conservation and decarbonization solutions for the industrial, institutional and commercial sectors.
  • Provide expert knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems.
  • Be responsible for leading and overseeing the design of entire HVAC systems from end-to-end.
  • Oversee the development and completion of energy savings calculations.
  • Actively support the on-site coordination, supervision and successful implementation and commissioning of HVAC systems.
  • Collaborate with the LTS team to brainstorm and co-develop technical solutions.
  • Evaluate site conditions and develop solutions at project locations.
  • Proactively identify any technical issues that will delay or cause performance issues with the project and lead the resolution.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years' experience on project job sites implementing retrofit solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Skilled in drafting reports, presenting proposals, and communicating directly with stakeholders
  • Experience with Excel and AutoCAD strong asset.
  • Previous or related experience engaging with multiple business/project stakeholders
  • Expertise in energy efficiency systems and knowledge of the energy market.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or building systems-related field
  • Professional Engineer designation (P. Eng) is a requirement; will consider CET dependent on experience.
  • PMP certification from PMI (strongly preferred)
  • CEM certification from AEE (strongly preferred)
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Valid driver’s license
