About the role
- Lead Technical Specialist developing energy conservation solutions for industrial and commercial sectors with expertise in HVAC systems. Collaborating with teams to deliver decarbonization projects.
Responsibilities
- Use experience to develop custom energy conservation and decarbonization solutions for the industrial, institutional and commercial sectors.
- Provide expert knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems.
- Be responsible for leading and overseeing the design of entire HVAC systems from end-to-end.
- Oversee the development and completion of energy savings calculations.
- Actively support the on-site coordination, supervision and successful implementation and commissioning of HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with the LTS team to brainstorm and co-develop technical solutions.
- Evaluate site conditions and develop solutions at project locations.
- Proactively identify any technical issues that will delay or cause performance issues with the project and lead the resolution.
Requirements
- 7-10 years' experience on project job sites implementing retrofit solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Skilled in drafting reports, presenting proposals, and communicating directly with stakeholders
- Experience with Excel and AutoCAD strong asset.
- Previous or related experience engaging with multiple business/project stakeholders
- Expertise in energy efficiency systems and knowledge of the energy market.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or building systems-related field
- Professional Engineer designation (P. Eng) is a requirement; will consider CET dependent on experience.
- PMP certification from PMI (strongly preferred)
- CEM certification from AEE (strongly preferred)
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Valid driver’s license
