About the role
- Director of Accounting overseeing financial operations, reporting, audits, and acquisitions for BlueCat’s AI-driven network management platform. Leading accounting policies, integrations, and finance staff development.
Responsibilities
- Assist the VP of Accounting in managing all accounting operations, including A/P, GL, commissions, and revenue recognition
- Coordinate monthly or annual closing workflows with applicable departments and adhere to required deadlines
- Assist in preparing and distributing financial statements and regulatory and bank compliance reports
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
- Supervise and participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Establish and maintain documented accounting policies and procedures
- Lead accounting integration efforts for potential future acquisitions, including accounting system migration and policy and procedure standardization
- Oversee finance staff training and development and delegate duties and authority to meet departmental and organizational goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree related to Accounting
- CPA required
- Minimum of 6+ years of accounting experience in a SaaS Company or 4+ years in public accounting
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with process optimization and drive for continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Excellent leadership and team building skills
- Experience with acquisitions and integrations including accounting for acquisitions and purchase price accounting is preferred
