About the role

  • Technical Operations Lead overseeing service health, incidents, and continuous improvement for CanadaHelps’ charity-giving platforms. Leading technical operations teams and cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, and support.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day effectiveness and health of Technical Operations across B2B, D2C, CHE, and internal tools
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical, product, and operational issues
  • Monitor operational trends, recurring issues, escalations, and customer-impacting problems
  • Coordinate Technical Operations’ participation in significant incidents, including escalation, communication, documentation, and follow-up
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, DevOps, QA, Data, and customer-facing teams to provide customer and operational insights
  • Identify customer and operational pain points and translate them into problems, requirements, or improvement opportunities
  • Manage weekly and bi-weekly meetings with QA, DevOps, and Product teams
  • Participate in product discovery, planning, testing, releases, and post-release evaluation
  • Analyze Salesforce cases, Jira activity, Aha! Ideas, incidents, and recurring issues to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Lead initiatives to simplify, standardize, automate, or eliminate inefficient processes
  • Identify and escalate operational, customer, financial, privacy, fraud, compliance, and technology risks
  • Support escalation paths, decision frameworks, contingency plans, operational controls, and post-incident reviews
  • Own Technical Operations documentation, processes, training materials, and knowledge resources
  • Identify knowledge gaps and improve internal enablement and customer self-service
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Technical Operations team
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development
  • Partner with senior and cross-functional leaders on strategic operational and technology initiatives
  • Assess operational implications of organizational, product, and technology changes and support change-management plans

Requirements

  • 4–5+ years of experience in technical operations, technical client services, business operations, digital operations, technology, eCommerce, SaaS, or a related environment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, Data, Customer Support, Customer Success, or similar teams
  • Experience investigating complex issues and coordinating resolution across multiple stakeholders
  • Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and translating them into practical operational or technology solutions
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex systems, workflows, integrations, and dependencies
  • Experience with Jira, Salesforce, and Google Workspace
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority and advocate for customer and operational needs
  • Strong prioritization and judgment
  • Continuous improvement mindset, including automation, AI, self-service, and technology
  • Experience leading or coordinating projects, initiatives, incidents, or other cross-functional work is an asset
  • Familiarity with Agile product development and collaboration with Product and Engineering teams is an asset
