Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Director, Workplace Health and Safety to design and implement trauma‑informed and culturally safe safety programs
Support the development of policies, procedures, and day‑to‑day processes
Coordinate the establishment of joint health and safety committees across provinces and territories
Contribute to incident investigations, including root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions
Provide guidance to staff and leaders on safe workplace practices
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience developing and/or maintaining an occupational health and safety management system
Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certificate in occupational health and safety
Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including provincial and territorial occupational health and safety acts, codes, and regulations, as well as applicable standards
Experience applying project and change management principles and practices to health and safety initiatives
Experience with community health and capacity‑building programs (e.g., mobile social workers, personal support workers)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
