About the role

  • Scrum Master coaching multidisciplinary Agile squads delivering CBC/Radio-Canada’s broadcasting technology modernization. Driving Scaled Agile adoption, product transformation, alignment, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and coach multiple multidisciplinary Squads to implement Scaled Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality digital/media products.
  • Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Maintain team focus, flow, predictability, and rigorous quality standards.
  • Build a trusting, safe, transparent environment focused on continuous improvement, autonomy, and open problem-solving.
  • Participate in PI Planning, Program Syncs, Cross-Team Demos, and other program-level orchestration and scaled alignment events.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Tech Leads, Architects, and Agile Delivery Leads on backlog readiness, dependency mapping, and priority execution.
  • Support transition from traditional project delivery to a product-led operating model.
  • Identify, surface, resolve, and escalate impediments and cross-team dependencies.
  • Implement and adopt the enterprise Product Operating Model, including transformation intent, ecosystem diagnosis, MVP operating model activation, gap analysis, roadmap execution, and continuous adaptation.
  • Act as an agent of change, breaking down operational silos and fostering shared product culture across business and technology domains.
  • Use delivery metrics, visual management boards, and transparent reporting to track agile maturity and team performance.
  • Coach and mentor other Scrum Masters, facilitate knowledge sharing, and elevate scaled agile maturity.
  • Collaborate within the Agile & Transformation practice on tooling, team working agreements, and scaled delivery standards.
  • Contribute to the evolution and local enablement of the organization’s Agile Playbook and transformation practices.
  • Report to the Director, Enterprise Application Delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in large projects, with 3 years in a Scrum Master/Coach role.
  • Deep knowledge of agile practices, frameworks, and techniques, including Scaled Agile.
  • Good knowledge of broadcast concepts and conversion projects are an asset.
  • Experience with agile planning and development tools (e.g. JIRA, Confluence).
  • Ability to lead and coach bilingual/remote teams.
  • Scrum Certification is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is a requirement.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Good general knowledge and intellectual curiosity (acquire and develop new knowledge and skills).
  • Familiarity with current trends and industry best practices.
  • Self starter with strong ability to lead through influence.
  • Analytical mind and open-minded approach to problem solving.
  • Creative and Innovative.
  • Ability to multitask and deal with concurrent and/or conflicting priorities.
