- Supervisor overseeing Technology Support team for Montreal Production division at CBC/Radio-Canada. Promoting operational excellence by providing guidance and supporting technicians in various media sectors.
Responsibilities
- Support the Technology Support team for the Montreal Production division
- Serve as spokesperson and contact for the support team covering News, Radio and General Television
- Sustain operational excellence by providing direct guidance and immediately coordinating operational support
- Promote a healthy work environment
- Oversee the work done by technicians in Montreal, including support at Maison de Radio-Canada, Grandé Studio or outside events
- Supervise employee logistics and allocate staff for productions
- Be the primary point of contact during major outages
- Co-ordinate troubleshooting and problem-solving by documenting issues and solutions
- Define training needs and maintain a continuing education calendar
Requirements
- University degree or college diploma, preferably in communications, technology or television broadcasting
- At least three years’ relevant experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of French
- Jira platform knowledge is an asset
- Vimbiz platform knowledge is an asset
- Knowledge of television broadcasting is essential
- Leadership experience
- Management experience in a unionized environment
- Ability to work a primarily daytime schedule but remain available 24/7
- Availability to work on call outside regular business hours
