Responsibilities
- Maximizing the utilization and return on the company's rental equipment assets
- Managing inventory, equipment movement, INDEX management, purchasing and disposal analysis
- Overseeing the Asset Management, Order Admin and related functions
- Optimizing equipment ROI and utilization through reporting, target setting and performance analysis
- Managing shop-to-shop equipment movement and freight costs
- Managing equipment INDEX curves, depreciation rates, utilization levels, E-code assignments and costs
- Managing equipment purchase and disposal analysis, including ORPL reviews and purchase quantity recommendations
- Managing used equipment sales and disposal performance
- Managing Nexus Librarian tools, processes and priorities
- Managing Order Admin tools, processes and team priorities
- Providing asset performance analysis and recommendations to the COO and CEO
Requirements
- Preparing and maintaining utilization reporting used to evaluate equipment performance
- Monitoring rental SKU utilization, shop-to-shop transfer and cross rental activity
- Establishing target utilization levels by asset class
- Identifying underperforming or constrained equipment categories
- Using utilization and cost information to support equipment purchase, movement and disposal decisions
- Developing and managing tools and processes for the Asset Management team
- Managing the day-to-day performance of the Asset Management team
- Establishing priorities and performance expectations
- Ensuring Asset Management decisions support company utilization and ROI objectives
- Overseeing the review of shop-to-shop equipment requests
- Reducing, rerouting or cancelling unnecessary equipment movements where appropriate
- Developing processes to reduce shop-to-shop freight expense
- Reviewing shop-to-shop costs and trends
- Balancing freight cost against equipment availability and business requirements
- Reviewing INDEX curves for continued accuracy
- Evaluating depreciation rates, utilization levels and E-code INDEX assignments
- Reviewing INDEX components including storage and shop multipliers
- Maintaining INDEX costs for new E-codes
- Investigating and resolving INDEX-related errors
- Providing data and analysis for manual INDEX adjustments
- Reviewing utilization and asset performance prior to recommending equipment purchases or disposals
- Reviewing ORPL equipment purchase requests and non-ORPL requests within established approval thresholds
- Managing the ORPL review process and maintaining accurate ORPL information in Nexus
- Determining recommended purchase quantities based on utilization, cross rental, shop-to-shop activity and expected demand
- Evaluating whether equipment purchases should be show-costed based on expected future utilization
- Partnering with the COO, Finance and Purchasing on significant capital decisions
- Developing and managing the framework used to evaluate Used Gear performance
- Establishing minimum selling prices and maximum listing quantities
- Identifying equipment appropriate for disposal based on utilization, age, market value and company requirements
- Monitoring results from equipment disposal
- Developing and managing tools and processes for the Nexus Librarian
- Managing day-to-day performance and priorities
- Ensuring equipment information within Nexus supports accurate operational and financial decision-making
- Developing and managing tools and processes for the Order Admin department
- Managing day-to-day performance and priorities of the Order Admin team
- Ensuring Order Admin processes effectively support company operations
- Providing the COO and CEO with regular visibility into asset utilization and performance
- Identifying trends and opportunities requiring management attention
- Providing asset data and analysis for broader company financial and operational decisions
- Measuring the results of significant equipment purchase, movement and disposal decisions
