About the role

  • Design Engineer managing multidisciplinary industrial structure projects in Canada. Collaborating with qualified team members to develop client-specific solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design a variety of complex projects
  • Develop technical solutions
  • Produce plans and specifications
  • Attend design and site meetings
  • Participate in construction site monitoring and supervision activities
  • Determine construction costs and quantities in accordance with standardized methods and the established plans and specifications
  • Conduct studies and prepare technical reports
  • Coordinate and supervise the work of technicians and draftspeople assigned to projects
  • Ensure coordination among stakeholders
  • Provide technical support to various clients
  • Prepare project schedules

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent, structural specialization
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in structural design (steel, concrete, and wood)
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following software: SAFE, eTabs, ADA, S-Frame, AutoCAD, and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written
  • Construction site health and safety certification (ASP card)
