About the role
- Bilingual Network Solutions Consultant aiding clients in Quebec and North America. Involves hands-on work with networking solutions and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the collection of technical requirements from external clients and propose competitive solutions
- Provide technical expertise internally and externally, including managing complex technical escalations
- Design, implement, and document technical solutions and their features
- Support team members involved in design and implementation to ensure projects are delivered according to defined architectures
- Act as a liaison between clients' business needs, technical solutions, and service delivery
- Review, validate, and approve solutions designed by third parties
- Define, document, and maintain clients' network architecture standards
- Collaborate with the Product team to certify new products, services, and features
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with partners and vendors
- Research and evaluate new technologies or alternative solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Stay up to date on technology trends to develop technology roadmaps and annual plans
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and escalation point for other teams (Operations)
- Obtain and maintain required technical training and certifications
Requirements
- More than 3 years of experience in networking, with proven experience in wireless network design and deployment
- Fortinet certification – Secure Networking / SASE / Cloud Security / Security Operations (or higher)
- Excellent understanding of network protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS) in both wired and wireless environments
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with multiple network vendor technologies such as Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, Citrix, etc.
