About the role

  • Senior Account Manager developing commercial healthcare client relationships for Desjardins in Toronto. Driving sales, tailored financing solutions, portfolio profitability, and prudent risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect, solicit, develop and maintain business relationships with major strategic healthcare-sector clients operating in the commercial sector
  • Promote and sell Desjardins products and services to grow the business centre
  • Represent, negotiate and engage companies in highly complex and innovative agreements of significant importance to the business centre
  • Balance sales objectives, prudent risk management, portfolio profitability, and member, client and partner satisfaction
  • Initiate, develop and maintain personalized relationships with current and potential clients
  • Act as a key intermediary between the business centre and members and clients
  • Ensure proper usage, updating and satisfaction with products and services; analyze dissatisfaction and recommend solutions
  • Identify and analyze needs, develop personalized solutions, prepare integrated service offerings, and negotiate conditions
  • Recommend strategies and solutions to increase business volume, manage risk, improve portfolio profitability and strengthen relationships
  • Identify business-development opportunities to increase competitiveness
  • Execute promotional activities and participate in targeted public relations and business-community activities
  • Address client and member needs, identify opportunities, and refer them appropriately
  • Follow applicable policies, practices, standards and laws governing financial product and service distribution
  • Provide sound and prudent risk management for assigned portfolios

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience
  • Other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of the latest financial, economic, policy and legislative developments
  • Ability to perform analyses of the market and the business centre external environment
  • Ability to perform financial analysis
  • Knowledge of the characteristics and credit risk inherent to the major commercial, industrial and institutional markets
  • Knowledge of loan and guarantee contracts
  • Knowledge of products and services for businesses and those offered by caisses, components and Desjardins distribution networks and those of the competition
  • Knowledge of financing and credit management practices related to businesses
  • Knowledge of policies, legislation and standards governing the products and services offered by the business centre
  • Knowledge of business credit authorization, monitoring, collection and recovery practices
  • Knowledge of Desjardins business processes
  • Understanding of the referral process
  • Familiarity with government business assistance programs
  • Networking skills
  • Strong sales skills
  • Knowledge of service standards
  • Understanding of cooperative and cooperative network values, rules and operations
