About the role

  • Oracle Database Administrator responsible for the configuration and administration of databases at Desjardins. Ensuring the integrity, security, and performance of the Oracle database services.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure and support Oracle database services for the environments and applications concerned, ensuring their integrity, security and performance
  • Conceptualize, implement and update database structures
  • Advise parties involved on database management, use and access
  • Help develop automation solutions for the ongoing configuration, installation, maintenance, delivery and rollout of Oracle services
  • Draft, maintain and update system and database technical documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience as a database administrator or in a related role
  • Experience with production support in large organizations
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Knowledge of Oracle 19c and later versions (Data Guard, RAC, OUD, RMAN, CMU, OEM, GoldenGate, FPP, Exadata)
  • Knowledge of Linux environments
  • Knowledge of Ansible, AAP, GitHub, Flyway, Cohesity
  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices
  • Knowledge of cloud environments (OCI, Azure)
  • Available 24/7 as an on-call advisor with pay
