About the role

  • Project Specialist processing oversized air, ocean and trucking shipments for DSV, a global transport and logistics company. Managing documentation, tracking, export formalities, KPIs and invoicing.

Responsibilities

  • Process import/export shipments in cooperation with the customer service group using proprietary forwarding systems
  • Prepare, check, monitor and accurately enter project freight documentation in CW1
  • Assist vendors with export formalities such as AES and B13 when required
  • Track and trace air, sea and trucking shipments and follow up with overseas partners and stakeholders
  • Prepare SOPs and follow up with overseas clients regarding KPI compliance
  • Communicate with stakeholders and ensure shipment follow-up
  • Verify conformity and manage shipment statuses and documentation from pre-booking through final delivery
  • Build and maintain relationships with overseas partners, customers, co-workers and management
  • Monitor and respond to incoming client and business-partner communications
  • Complete timely and accurate billing and invoicing
  • Assist with improving products and services
  • Support ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 objectives and quality, health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor

Requirements

  • Education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field of study
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of industry experience
  • Experience with all modes of transport: air, ocean and trucking
  • Well versed in handling oversized shipments
  • Good verbal and written English skills
  • Proficient in English and French
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
  • CIFFA certificate is an asset
  • Project experience is an asset
  • Dangerous Goods Certification is an asset
  • CargoWise experience is an asset
  • Ability to create collaborative engagements and actively listen
  • Service-oriented with ability to resolve customer grievances
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask, plan, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Understanding of business principles, finance and profitability fundamentals
  • Business administration competence
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
  • Adherence to DSV values and Code of Conduct
