About the role
- Project Specialist processing oversized air, ocean and trucking shipments for DSV, a global transport and logistics company. Managing documentation, tracking, export formalities, KPIs and invoicing.
Responsibilities
- Process import/export shipments in cooperation with the customer service group using proprietary forwarding systems
- Prepare, check, monitor and accurately enter project freight documentation in CW1
- Assist vendors with export formalities such as AES and B13 when required
- Track and trace air, sea and trucking shipments and follow up with overseas partners and stakeholders
- Prepare SOPs and follow up with overseas clients regarding KPI compliance
- Communicate with stakeholders and ensure shipment follow-up
- Verify conformity and manage shipment statuses and documentation from pre-booking through final delivery
- Build and maintain relationships with overseas partners, customers, co-workers and management
- Monitor and respond to incoming client and business-partner communications
- Complete timely and accurate billing and invoicing
- Assist with improving products and services
- Support ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 objectives and quality, health, safety and environmental requirements
- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
Requirements
- Education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field of study
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of industry experience
- Experience with all modes of transport: air, ocean and trucking
- Well versed in handling oversized shipments
- Good verbal and written English skills
- Proficient in English and French
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
- CIFFA certificate is an asset
- Project experience is an asset
- Dangerous Goods Certification is an asset
- CargoWise experience is an asset
- Ability to create collaborative engagements and actively listen
- Service-oriented with ability to resolve customer grievances
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask, plan, prioritize and manage time effectively
- Understanding of business principles, finance and profitability fundamentals
