Mobile Mapping Technician driving assigned routes for data collection on infrastructure projects. Requires travel, independent work, and operation of advanced mapping equipment in Canada.
Responsibilities
Driving assigned mobile mapping routes safely, accurately, and in line with daily instructions
Operating and monitoring roof-mounted 360° camera and LiDAR equipment
Following detailed route plans, schedules, and project requirements
Completing basic vehicle and equipment checks before and during each shift
Escalating equipment, route, or operational issues to the internal team as required
Keeping the vehicle and mapping equipment clean, secure, and operational
Maintaining regular communication with internal project teams
Completing daily reporting and confirming route progress and completion
Supporting accurate and consistent data capture across assigned mapping routes
Requirements
Ability to commit to 100% travel for the duration of the assignment
Comfortable driving for extended periods, typically 8–12 hours per day
Able to work independently with limited supervision while following detailed instructions
Basic comfort using GPS, mobile devices, and simple equipment troubleshooting
Strong punctuality, consistency, and ability to follow daily route schedules
Careful, responsible, and safety-conscious approach to driving and equipment handling
Able to arrange your own out-of-town accommodations while travelling
