About the role
- Headless CMS Solutions Architect evaluating Storyblok, Sanity, Contentful, and Strapi solutions. Designing AWS-based architectures, integrations, migrations, and content governance for enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead client discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews
- Gather and document business, editorial, technical, integration, security, and content requirements
- Evaluate headless CMS platforms and recommend the best solution for client needs
- Develop current-state and future-state solution architectures
- Design scalable content models, schemas, reusable components, taxonomies, and metadata
- Define editorial workflows, approvals, permissions, localization, and publishing processes
- Design integrations between the CMS and enterprise systems
- Collaborate with front-end, cloud, DevOps, security, UX, and development teams
- Develop CMS migration strategies from Drupal, WordPress, Sitecore, or custom systems
- Design architectures supporting multilingual content, accessibility, SEO, search, and content governance
- Produce architecture diagrams, technology recommendations, implementation roadmaps, and technical documentation
- Present and defend recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into technical architecture
- Identify technical risks and dependencies and challenge requirements when a simpler or more scalable solution is appropriate
Requirements
- Significant professional experience with headless CMS platforms
- Strong hands-on experience with at least two of Storyblok, Sanity, Contentful, or Strapi
- Familiarity with all four listed headless CMS platforms preferred
- Experience leading CMS or digital-platform discovery
- Experience recommending and designing enterprise CMS solutions
- Experience with AWS and cloud-based architecture
- Strong understanding of APIs, integrations, structured content, and composable architecture
- Experience producing architecture diagrams and technical documentation
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills
- Strong experience with headless and composable CMS architecture
- Experience with structured content and content modeling
- Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, and API integrations
- Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Next.js, Vue, or Nuxt
- Experience with enterprise systems integration and CMS migration
- Experience with content governance, multilingual and localized content, role-based permissions, and editorial workflows
- Experience with technical SEO, accessibility, and modern web standards
- AWS knowledge sufficient to design solutions, make architectural recommendations, and collaborate with cloud and DevOps teams
- Experience with enterprise search, Digital Asset Management, CRM, LMS, marketing automation, analytics, or identity platforms is an asset
- AWS Solutions Architect certification is an asset
- Storyblok, Contentful, Sanity, or Strapi certifications are an asset
- Experience with Next.js / React, Node.js, Terraform or Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD and DevOps, AWS OpenSearch or enterprise search, Bynder or other Digital Asset Management platforms, CRM or marketing automation systems, or Learning Management Systems is an asset
