About the role

  • Bilingual Funding Officer reviewing loan applications and validating documentation for Financeit, a Canadian point-of-sale financing provider. Serving Partners and Borrowers while maintaining lending compliance and operational integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Review applications and provide customer service to Partners and Borrowers
  • Manage and complete the loan adjudication process by validating supporting documentation and reviewing loan conditions
  • Adhere to established service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Provide on-the-spot coaching to merchants requiring additional document policy training
  • Build lasting customer relationships with Partners
  • Respond promptly to Partner and Borrower inquiries and maintain detailed notes
  • Maintain knowledge of lending requirements, internal policies and procedures, and compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Follow security and safeguarding procedures to prevent losses from fraud, money laundering or defalcation
  • Understand risks and take appropriate actions, including required documentation, to maintain operational integrity
  • Review work for accuracy and completeness and identify inconsistencies or discrepancies

Requirements

  • Bilingual fluency in both English and French is required
  • 1-3 years of experience in financial services or call center environments is an asset
  • Willingness to learn consumer credit and lending practices
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while adapting to technology
  • Must be able to work from 1pm–9pm on weekdays and 10am–6pm on weekends, as scheduled
  • Successful background and credit check, among other verifications, as a condition of employment
