About the role

  • PMO Director leading project teams, portfolio governance, and delivery operations. Foundant builds mission-critical software for foundations, grantmakers, nonprofits, and community organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Project Management team, including performance management, goal setting, and career development
  • Build and maintain a high-performing PMO culture based on accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with the Sr. Director to recruit, onboard, and ramp up new project managers
  • Scale the partnership business and oversee partner implementation projects
  • Maintain visibility into the active SOW and enhancement portfolio, tracking milestones, budgets, and project health
  • Own escalation management for Amber and Red projects
  • Drive weekly project manager check-ins, quarterly scorecard reviews, and executive portfolio updates
  • Enforce delivery standards and Project Manager accountability against the Delivery Goal Framework
  • Own Rocketlane and Salesforce as sources of truth for project delivery data
  • Drive tooling standards and maintain internal reference and process documentation
  • Use capacity planning, resource management, and timeline tools to inform resourcing decisions
  • Partner on cross-functional capacity planning as SOW and RFS volume enters the pipeline
  • Design, implement, and improve project management processes and methodologies
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives based on escalations, scope changes, and timeline variance
  • Champion Change Request discipline and monitor compliance in monthly portfolio reviews
  • Collaborate with Implementation, Digital Transformation, Sales, and Customer Success on handoffs and client expectations
  • Prepare and present portfolio status updates to the Sr. Director and leadership
  • Translate Rocketlane and Salesforce data into decision-ready reporting
  • Represent the PMO perspective on capacity, risk, and process in cross-functional discussions
  • Partner with HR, the Sr. Director, and People leaders on goal-setting, performance reviews, and team development

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in project management
  • 5+ years in a people leadership or PMO management role
  • Track record owning a project manager team and a complex, multi-project portfolio in a SaaS, professional services, or technology implementation environment
  • Experience building or maturing a PMO function, including standards, governance frameworks, and scalable tooling practices
  • Previous Agile transformation experience
  • Ability to manage escalations, navigate client-facing complexity, and coach project managers through high-stakes delivery situations
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Project Management, or related field
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada, USA, or EU
  • Strong command of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies
  • Rocketlane experience or equivalent PSA/project delivery platform strongly preferred
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and people development skills
  • Data-driven decision-making skills, including portfolio dashboards, burn-rate reports, and capacity plans
  • Clear, structured communication skills for executive-facing reporting
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience working with Sales, Implementation, and Customer Success counterparts
  • Experience with Rocketlane or equivalent PSA/professional services automation platform
  • Experience with Salesforce
